Rogue Riders Journey Days 12 & 13: August 27-28, 2013 – Siuox Falls to Lacrosse and Lacrosse to Milwaukee

Day 12

Our ride to Lacrosse was a short one, we were all able to get settled into the hotel nice and early and get out of the heat. Along the way into Lacrosse we stopped at Glendale HD, where we got to see one of the new liquid cooled setups on the Triglide.

The closer we got to Milwaukee the more riders we saw on the road. Our hotel was not expecting so many bikers to fill up their bar and restaurant.

day 12

We had almost all of the Rogue Riders in there as well as bikers from all over even Australia!

day 12 #2

We all had a good time sharing our adventures from the trip and catching up with those who didn’t ride in the same groups.

day 12 #3

Our group has grown by a few new people, including Will Smith from Soldotna and a few others.

day 12 #4

Day 13

We arrived there at noon and decided to regroup at 2pm to ride together to the HD Museum for our official group photo!

The dealership is partying through the weekend are equipped with two stages for concerts and probably 20 food and drink vendors plus another 30 plus other vendors. The store had been completely cleared out of motorcycles and was stocked full of apparel and P&A. It was crazy how much stuff they had, I even ended up buying a leather jacket and a shirt. Julie scored a pair of heated boots…if you saw the photo on facebook, her bike is completely packed!

We all milled around, ate and tried to find some shade. Right at 2pm it was kickstands up and we rode to the Museum. It was pretty cool to see all the bikes together in a row riding down the road. We got to the Museum and parked the bikes. We walked over to the rivets (Chrome caps that are engraved and placed around benches on the grounds outside the museum) that we bought for House of Harley and Alaska HOG Chapter so we could locate them and get our group photo.

After several group photos it was like school getting out and everyone rushed off in different directions. Some of us are all staying at the same hotel, and hopefully we will all run into each other throughout the weekend. There is so much going on this weekend, and the kick off is tomorrow. This will be the last blog I write for the trip since we will all be on our own from this point forward. So, check out our facebook page, I will try to upload some photos of the happenings and of course there are a lot of updates on the H-D facebook page. Thanks for joining us on our blog to follow our journey. It has been an epic trip and we really couldn’t have asked for a better travel experience. We had great weather and made a lot of really good memories. We will be riding down again for the 115th Anniversary Party, so maybe you will get to join us next time! Alaska Rogue Riders made it to Milwaukee all safely and with a lot of great road tales to share. For those of you on the journey please email us your photos so we can share them via facebook and our website!

    Hello,
This morning my wife met a couple at a breakfast, at the Harley dealership in Oconomowoc Wisconsin. We were delighted to here their story and that have been having a such a wonderful time celebrating. We hope you all have a safe journey home.
Today at breakfast with Santa Dotson we met a couple who rode in from Anchorage, Alaska. We were honored to have them as guest in our city. They were honored to meet real locals and Green Bay Packer Fans. The couple had a shirt on and each stop they made they asked people to sign it. Wendy and I were more than happy to sign it. The couple traveled in a group of 40 and 3 Canadian provinces along with seven us states. We are happy to host your group this weekend!
